EcoMotors International has received $23.5 million from Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates and investor Vinod Khosla for engineering and testing of its trademarked Opoc engine technology. A study of 17- to 25-year olds found a third (35%) had decided against driving or owning a car because of the expense involved.
